Sandy Machson is Founder and Principal of What’s Next Coaching & Consulting, a career strategies and leadership coaching firm dedicated to helping people navigate their professional and personal potential, career vision and strategic organizational effectiveness. What’s Next also provides executive and on-boarding coaching for mid and senior level leaders. Sandy believes that every individual has s a unique opportunity to cultivate leadership, achieve a personal goal or develop a strategy for change. Sandy has an excellent track record in guiding clients through a strategy of career and personal growth.
Sandy’s career spans over 30 years in the fields of human resources, organizational development, coaching and counseling. She began her career as a clinician working with families in a mental health setting. Subsequently, she developed deep experience in corporate, nonprofit and academic settings, and has served in pivotal HR, learning and development and graduate faculty roles. She has worked in a wide variety of industries, giving her broad knowledge of business cultures and stages of organization development.
Sandy holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in clinical social work from Smith College. She completed the Executive Leadership Program in Human Resources at Simmons College School of Management. She is a professional coach, certified by New Ventures West, an organization accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). In addition, she is certified and experienced in using the MBTI (Myers-Briggs) and the DiSC personality instruments. She also uses the Enneagram as a component of her coaching toolkit.
